Continuous lane closures on I-94 start Monday between I-96 and US-12 in Detroit for road and bridge work

WORK DETAILS:

Beginning Monday, Jan. 20, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the left lanes of eastbound and westbound I-94 between US-12 (Michigan Avenue) and I-96 for one week. These continuous lane closures will allow work at multiple locations, including a railroad bridge near Livernois Road, concrete form removal near Warren Avenue, and steel repairs on the 24th Street bridge. This work is weather dependent and may be cancelled and rescheduled.

SAFETY BENEFIT:

By continuously closing one lane in each direction, this will provide work crews in multiple locations with safer work zones.
